In Loving Memory - Peter Kanitsch

It is with great sadness that the MBTW Group / Watchorn Architect Inc. announces the passing of our Partner and dear friend, Peter Kanitsch. Peter passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side on Tuesday July 8, 2008, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Peter will be sadly missed by Maria, his loving wife of 27 years, his daughter, Stephanie, and his son, Michael.

Peter's passion for landscape architecture was honed at The MBTW Group, where he worked since 1982, and where he later became a partner. It was through the profession of landscape architecture that Peter was able to pursue his personal vision of shaping the earth to make dreams come true. Peter leaves behind a legacy of built work that stands as an everlasting memorial to his life and career as a landscape architect, urban designer and community planner.

His partners, co-workers and colleagues remember Peter for his indomitable spirit and courageousness throughout his illness and his unwavering strength of conviction to battle and fight this disease. His loss will be deeply felt by his family and many friends. To those who knew Peter, his humour, love of life and family will always be remembered.
