Paul Hung

ASSOCIATE

Paul is an Associate at The MBTW Group with more than 15 years of experience in the field of landscape architecture, urban design and land planning.  He has been involved in projects from conceptualization and design development through to construction.  With expertise in both design and technical project issues, he has worked successfully with public agencies, clients and consultants to implement innovative approaches to municipal requirements for subdivision, site plan, parks and open space developments.

Drawing from his architectural background and as a senior urban designer, Paul has also been involved in a broad range of community planning and land use studies.

Paul’s favourites architect is Frank Lloyd Wright.  Of particular interest is Wright’s philosophy of “Organic architecture”:

“Organic architecture is a philosophy of architecture which promotes harmony between human habitation and the natural world through design approaches so sympathetic and well integrated with its site that buildings, furnishings, and surroundings become part of a unified, interrelated composition.”

These principles influence Paul’s work and remind him the importance of striking a balance between urban design, architecture and landscape architecture.
