PRINCIPAL

Garry Watchorn is a community planner, urban designer, landscape architect, architect, president of Watchorn Architect Inc. and principal of The MBTW Group, with over 30 years experience in community planning, urban design, precinct visioning and architecture.

As a young architect, Garry’s approach to community design was molded by his ten years with the leading-edge New Communities Group of the Cadillac Fairview Corporation. Initially engaged to improve the overall quality of architectural design, he gradually assumed responsibility for landscape architecture, providing input into planning, engineering and marketing for the land and housing operations.

Garry has taken a leading role in the formulation of new community planning principles, concepts and innovative development standards, implemented through a value-added design guidance process. Garry’s breadth of expertise consistently results in the design and development of innovative, successful communities.
